Damouchari Pelion

Damouchari Pelion - Magnesia (Greece)

Damouchari. Damouchari is the only natural harbor on the rugged Aegean side of Pelion in Greece. According to an ancient Venetian myth, the Greek term: "dos mou chari" ("have mercy on me"), has given the area the name Damouchari.

In the church of Agios Nikolaos there are beautiful icons from 1800 by Pagoni. Old Damouchari is reached via a traditionally paved walkway connected to Tsangarada. Famous are the big round, white pebbles on the seashore. The famous twin inlet of Damouchari is a natural masterpiece.
