Arachova - Viotia (Greece)

Arachova. Arachova is a mountain town at an altitude of 940 meters (3,100 feet). The houses are built on the slopes of Mount Parnassos. This is a good place to buy hand-woven rugs and colorful shoulder bags. Visitors shouldn’t miss the local specialties in the numerous taverns in the city. Arachova is located 35 kilometers (28 miles) west of Leviada and is a common stopover for people who go to Delphi or the Parnassos ski center. Most skiers stay overnight in Arachova.
